Amitabh Bachchan bids goodbye to Kaun Banega Crorepati!

Bollywood icon, Amitabh Bachchan, who is hosting the television show Who wants to be a millionaire In an emotional video shared on Instagram by the official social media handle of Sony Television, the show which has been running for the last 23 years (KBC) finally said goodbye to the show.

Bachchan became emotional and cried during the farewell while hosting the grand finale of the show’s 15th season, where Sheila Devi, Avinash Bharti, Sharmila Tagore, Vidya Balan and Sara Ali Khan were present as guests.

As the episode ended, a special message from the show’s team was played, reliving decades past, while a compilation of some of the most memorable moments was shown on screen.

The 81-year-old star had tears in his eyes as he said, “Ladies and gentlemen, we are leaving now and from tomorrow this stage will no longer be decorated. To be able to tell our loved ones that we will not be able to come here from tomorrow, we have the courage to say no and we feel like saying no.”

Who wants to be a millionaire is the official Hindi version of who wants to be a Millionaire? Franchise. It started with actor Amitabh Bachchan as the presenter for the initial season. In the third instalment, actor Shah Rukh Khan replaced Bachchan, with Bachchan later returning as the presenter and continued hosting the show until it ended.
