“I am always trying my best to give to the team in batting, bowling, and fielding. I want to come out to bat when the situation demands. Lahore’s crowd always supported us, and tomorrow is a big day; hopefully, we will play well, and hopefully, we will win,” he added.
Speaking in the post-match conference, Shaheen Afridi emphasized the importance of dealing with pressure in big games, especially when the toss doesn’t go in the team’s favor. He also praised Tahir Baig for his fifty and credited the team’s belief for their successful chase.
“In big games, there will be pressure. If the toss doesn’t go our way, it is even harder, and we spoke about we have to do well regardless of batting or bowling first. The balls on a hard length at the end was gripping when we bowled first. We have the team to get these runs, credit to Tahir for how he batted,” said Shaheen Afridit.
Lahore Qalandars will face Multan Sultans again this season, and they will be looking to continue their winning momentum.
They had a few hiccups during their chase against Peshawar Zalmi but managed to hold their nerve and chase down the target with six balls remaining. Mohammad Haris played a crucial knock for Zalmi, scoring 85 runs, while Babar Azam contributed with 42 runs.
