Pakistan’s own rockstar Ali Zafar has graciously reacted to the exciting announcement of the remake of her iconic song ‘Jhoom’ by famous Indian singer Shreya Ghoshal.
Zafar’s classic ‘Jhoom’ has been enthralling audiences in Pakistan for 13 years and it also resonated in India last year. Given its widespread popularity, the news of an Indian rendition of the song has raised anticipation among music lovers.
Shreya Ghoshal recently shared this good news by tagging Ali Zafar in her post on social networking site ‘X’. Expressing his appreciation he said, ‘Dil Jhoom Jhoom Chale Jhoom Chale Sohaniya.’ She confessed to being a big fan of Ali Zafar and his song ‘Jhoom’ and emphasized on its special place in her heart.

In anticipation of the recreation of the song, Shreya revealed that she and singer Vishal Mishra will lend their voices to the track for the film ‘Krack’. Responding to Shreya’s heartfelt announcement, Ali Zafar expressed his gratitude on ‘X’ acknowledging her as an iconic and inspiring singer of her time.

It is worth noting that Ali Zafar introduced ‘Jhoom’ as part of his third music album in 2011. Although the song gained popularity in Pakistan upon its release, it gained popularity again in India last year due to its widespread use on Instagram Reels. The song’s popularity increased when prominent Indian artists made short videos, with Zafar himself sharing these renditions on his Instagram account.
