Pierce Brosnan approves of Cillian Murphy as the next James Bond

Pierce Brosnan has hailed Cillian Murphy as the perfect choice to play the iconic role of James Bond in the future.

As reported BBCThe actor, who starred as the British agent in the films from 1995 to 2002, said the Irish actor would be a great choice for the role.

Both actors attended the Oscar Wilde Awards on Thursday, March 7, 2024, where Cillian Murphy, who played James Bond, was discussed offstage.

“Cillian would do a fantastic job as James Bond on Her Majesty’s Secret Service,” the 70-year-old actor told the outlet on Thursday.

Even though Brosnan approved Murphy starring as the fictional character oppenheimer Star feels otherwise.

“No. I think I’m a little old for this,” Murphy told reporters from media outlets on the event’s red carpet, wondering whether he would be interested in playing the role.

Pierce Brosnan was honored at the awards ceremony along with Molly Shannon and visual-effects supervisor Richie Baneham.
