The Haryanvi music industry is mourning the loss of renowned singer and music composer Raju Punjabi, who passed away on August 22 at the age of 40. He had been battling Hepatitis C, also known as Kala Piliya, and was undergoing treatment in a private hospital.
Reports indicate that Raju Punjabi had initially been hospitalized on August 8 due to Hepatitis C but was discharged on August 17 after showing signs of recovery. However, his health deteriorated, and he was readmitted to the hospital on August 21. He experienced low blood pressure and fluid accumulation in his stomach, a result of the liver infection. Approximately 750 grams of fluid were reportedly removed from his stomach.
Raju Punjabi’s latest song, “Aapse Milke Yaara Mujhko Acha Laga,” had been released just ten days before his untimely demise and had been in the making for two years. It has garnered a positive response from the audience.
