Royal fans and expert photographers have reached a consensus as to the main reason behind Princess Kate editing her Mother’s Day photo.

The photo, which showed the Princess of Wales sitting on a chair, smiling and surrounded by her smiling children, turned out to be edited. It was later “killed” on major picture services, including the Associated Press (AP), Reuters, Agence France-Presse (AFP), Getty Images, and PA.

Now fans say that the main reason the photo was edited may have been to make all three children – Princess Charlotte, Prince George and Prince Louis – look at the camera.

He acknowledged how difficult it can be to get children to look at the camera for photos.

One expert photographer wrote on Twitter: “It is exceptionally difficult to get three small children to look at the camera at the same time and all smile. I would probably argue for a professional photographer as well.

Another said: “The real reason this photo is fake is because it’s impossible to have three kids laughing happily and looking at the camera at the same time.”
