Reflecting on his past, Sooraj mentioned that his relationship with Jiah Khan was probably the shortest one he ever had. Sooraj, the son of actors Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab, had been in a relationship with Jiah Khan, which reportedly ended before her death.
